Koenigsegg Jesko Gets Pushed Out Of Palexpo Complex As It Departs Geneva

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show closed its gates last Sunday, so all cars had to leave the Palexpo Complex, including one of the most exciting premieres of this year’s event: the Koenigsegg Jesko.

The Swedish hypercar was filmed being pushed out the building and loaded into the trailer. This means that if you were hoping to listen to that beast of an engine firing up, you’ll be disappointed.

And that’s a shame, because we’d really like to hear the Jesko’s 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that puts out a whopping 1,600 PS (1,577 hp / 1,177 kW) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) of torque. That’s more than you’d get in the Bugatti Chiron, but the tank needs to be filled with E85 ethanol fuel blend to achieve that output; on 95-octane unleaded gas, it goes down to 1,280 PS (1,262 hp / 941 kW).

Koenigsegg’s keeping the usual performance numbers a secret but says that the advanced aerodynamics produce over 1,000 kg (2,205 lbs) of downforce.

With an estimated starting price of $3 million without taxes, and those crazy power figures, it’s definitely a ride aimed at the 1 percent. Yet Koenigsegg will launch a more extreme version that will try to set a new production car high speed record by breaking the 300 mph (483 km/h) barrier.
